Some nights you get to support a great nonprofit. Some nights you meet one of your literary heroes. Thanks to Cosmic Writers, last night we got to do both. We joined Cosmic Writers for an evening event and had the chance to meet Jennifer Egan, the Pulitzer Prize–winning author of one of our favorite books of all time, A Visit from the Goon Squad.

Jennifer spoke eloquently about why storytelling matters and why it is so important to encourage young people to become engaged readers and powerful writers. Hearing that from one of today's great storytellers was a highlight of the night.

And we're thrilled by the work that Cosmic Writers does. They help kids and teens become confident, creative thinkers through writing. They meet young people where they are, in classrooms and libraries near and far and help them find their voice on the page. Every great author started out as a kid with a story to tell, and Cosmic Writers makes sure more kids get the chance to tell theirs.

The evening was also a peek at what's next. Cosmic Writers is developing exciting new programming for 2027, and we can't wait to see where they take it. Tigris is proud to support Cosmic Writers and grateful for an evening that reminded us why stories matter.

Thank you to Cosmic Writers for a wonderful evening, and to Jennifer Egan for being as gracious as she is brilliant.
