In partnership with the Elmwood Park Zoo, the Tigris Foundation was pleased to arrange a Zoo on Wheels event at the Wissahickon Valley Boys & Girls Club! šŸš™šŸ’

✨Bringing animals and expert-led education right to the kids, the Club had loads of fun petting armadillos, feeding the turtles, and asking lots of questions! Here are some of them:

šŸ¦ŽWhat is the long tail on the skink for?

🐢 How old is the turtle?

šŸ¦”Why are there bands on the armadillo?

🧔We loved seeing these kids’ curiosity roam free and hope to make this unforgettable experience a yearly tradition!

LAND & LABOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: The Tigris Foundation is dedicated to fostering community. We acknowledge that our offices sit on the unceded land of the Lenape people and recognize that this land was worked on by enslaved Africans. To the Lenape people, past, present, and future generations, as well as to the experience of enslaved Africans and their descendants, may this living land acknowledgement serve as a starting point for change.
