💫With support from the Tigris Foundation, our partner, Cosmic Writers, is bringing creative writing programs to rural libraries all across the United States. ✏️
📚Read an impact statement from the Montgomery Public Library in Missouri on how the Rural Library Partner Toolkit is benefiting one of their members, Caleb (pictured in the middle):
“Caleb, an eleven year old boy, comes to the Montgomery City Public Library often with his large homeschooling family. They participate in many library programs, but Caleb is often reluctant when it comes to reading and writing. I introduced the Monster Building Handbook to homeschooling families during our monthly Homeschool Hangout. Although he wasn’t happy to find out he’d be writing, Caleb became more and more excited as the group worked together to complete Stage 1 in the Handbook. He happily focused on creating his eight-armed beast named Cil through words and illustrations. Caleb also helped the younger children with ideas for their monsters. A huge smile bloomed across his face and kept growing as the Homeschool Hangout progressed. I can’t wait to see Caleb’s creativity come alive as we continue to compete different stages in the Monster Building Handbook.” ✨
